Golf Club The Dutch
The Dutch is centrally located in the Netherlands, in the village of Spijk (municipality of West Betuwe). The International Championship Level golf course designed by top designer Colin Montgomerie is maintained to the highest European standards.
History
The championship was established in to create an inclusive platform for disabled golfers to compete at a high level in Europe. It highlights the importance of accessibility and equality in sports, helping to break down barriers and encourage participation in golf by individuals with disabilities.
Over the years, the event has grown in significance, attracting players from across Europe, and beyond, with varying impairments. It has become a key tournament in the international disabled golfing calendar, with the support of organizations like EDGA and The R&A.
The tournament includes categories/sport classes, to ensure that players with a wide variety of disabilities can compete in a fair and competitive environment. As part of EDGA's broader goals, the event also aims to raise awareness about disability golf and inspire more people with disabilities to take up the sport. This championship continues to promote both high-level competition and social change in the world of golf.
