The UGF fund, an EGA initiative created shortly after the outbreak of war in Ukraine last February, will continue to support Ukrainian players in 2023.
The fund has raised over 60,000 euros thanks to donations from Member Federations, committee members, golf clubs and individuals so far.
"Almost a year ago we kick started the UGF fund and many of you made a difference to young Ukrainian golfers' lives." Said EGA President, Jan Hubrecht.
"Those of us who attended the championships in which they participated all reported delighted and grateful young people who were able to escape the misery of war for a week or so and engage in their passion - Golf!"
"As we, in the freedom of our own countries, can routinely select how we lead our lives, pursue our pastimes and enjoy the company of loved ones please spare a thought for our young Ukrainian friends and donate once more to the UGF."

In 2022, the state funding for the Ukrainian Golf Federation was directed entirely to help the efforts of the Ukrainian army. Thanks to the UGF Fund, Ukrainian players, such as Ivan Malovychko, were able to represent their country in international championships.
With the help of the UGF Fund, 21 international starts were given to Ukrainian players in international championships throughout the season last year. These included Ukrainian participation in the European Amateur Championship, European Ladies’ Amateur Championship, World Amateur Team Championships, European Young Masters and European Team Shield Championships.
The initiative will continue to support Ukrainian players in 2023. The UGF has confirmed the intention to participate in a number of international tournaments this season where possible with funding.
The UGF will also resume the organisation of golf activities within the borders of Ukraine this year. Four Ukrainian events, including the Ukrainian Open Championship and Ukrainian Open Junior Championship are scheduled for this summer.
There are also plans to initiate a special project for Ukrainian juniors. A training programme, which will take place on Ukrainian territory, is being developed for players aiming to make the national teams. The project is expected to reach 20 to 40 junior players.
