Despite a tough golf course awaiting the players for the first round of the European Amateur Championship at the Golf and Country Club Zürich, calm and overcast conditions provided some opportunities for good scoring.

Sweden wins on home soil. In the final match, they proved too strong for Germany in the European Ladies´ Team Championship at Upsala Golf Club.

Germany proved very strong in their match against Switzerland and earned a spot in the final.
